UFC 135 in vivo results: Jon Jones vs. Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson
UFC 135 is held in Denver, led by a fight for the UFC light heavyweight title from Quinton Jackson and Jon Jones. Jones won the heavyweight title in his last fight and many feel that dominate his weight class in the coming years. However, his career is still very young and mostly despite having tested the athletes and the size of your division. Jackson is a veteran of the sport drive, and former light heavyweight champion of UFC in its own right. Jackson and Jones have been involved in a war of words leading to the fight with Jackson Jones accused of spying on their training camp.

In preliminary action in the early afternoon, James Te Huna Ricardo Romero eliminated in the first round hits. Romero reacted very badly to be beaten and rendered unconscious by blows like a shot in a takedown. Takeya Mizugaki defeated Cole Escovedo by TKO seconds. The fight was competitive until Mizugaki took over strikes in the second round and the referee stopped the fight. Junior Assuncao defeated Eddie Yagin unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26). The fight was boring and people reacted negatively to it. Assuncao standup game and dominated the land.

In the first fight of Spike TV, Nick Ring Tim Boetsch defeated by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27). Ring had some early success in standup, but Boetsch took the fight progressed. Boetsch generally got the better of the shots in time and mixed in tackles as a beautiful judo throw to take the decision. In other fights on Spike TV, Tony Ferguson defeated Aaron Riley by TKO after the first round. Ferguson broke the jaw of Riley with an uppercut and the fight was stopped between rounds.

Nate Diaz vs. Takanori Gomi

This opens the portion of pay-per-view card. Gomi had a classic battle of pride with his brother Nate Nick. Gomi won and Nick are getting this kind of revenge in this contest. Diaz has solid standup game and excellent presentation, while Gomi is primarily a power hitter.

Round 1. Nate Diaz Gomi opens splashing with his jab. Gomi tries to land some big shots over his head, but Diaz is able to avoid with ease. Gomi Diaz wobbles with a direct hit, but Gomi is fine. Diaz Gomi Gomi still stuck with straight punches and simply can not understand the benefits of Diaz reach. After Diaz Gomi punishable by repeated shocks, shoots for a takedown Gomi despair. Diaz forthwith the works of a triangle choke. Gomi moves back to avoid the danger and the transitions of Diaz in an armbar for the submission. Diaz looked great here.

Winner: Nate Diaz, submission, round 1.

Rob Broughton vs. Travis Browne

Broughton is a British heavyweight fighter with a very complete game. Browne is a Hawaii undefeated with a strong strike.

Round 1. The action is slow at the start. Broughton, a man with less physical definition, has trouble getting hits Browne. Browne is able to land some blows away, but mostly it is a dead end. Towards the end of the round, Browne is mounted a takedown and Broughton. The fire of shots at the close of the round. 09.10 Browne.

Round 2. The standup is new tentative. Browne lands a few punches well and then scores a takedown. He works at Broughton with attacks as you progress throughout the year. Broughton is unable to mount any offense in the bottom or threaten to file claims. 09.10 Browne.

Round 3. Browne goes again for a takedown. He throws some punches from the top, and works in a better position. He briefly mounted Broughton, but Broughton Browne works back to his guard. Broughton looking for a kimura from the bottom and pulls it out, but Browne transitions in the control side to avoid the presentation. Browne released a couple of extra beats some, such as the round ends. 09.10 Browne. Browne took the fight clearly, but was not impressive in the process and it is likely that under the action of many.

Winner: Travis Browne, by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Ben Rothwell vs Mark Hunt

Mark Hunt is a former star with the elite K1 kickboxing on strike, but losing a race MMA record (against the continued high level competition). Game hunting land has always been his weakness, but has worked to improve that aspect of his game over time. Ben Rothwell was the most dominant heavyweight in the IFL now gone and has fought some of the best fighters in the division. He is coming back after a prolonged absence from sport due to a torn ACL.

Round 1. Rothwell points to a takedown in the opening but defends Hunt with ease. Chase throws a few hooks and a backup as Rothwell pushed forward. Rothwell for a demolition of the distance again, but can not. Rothwell fired a third time and this time you get the demolition. Rothwell hunting mounts quickly, but Hunt is leaving that position and tries to stand. Hunt works his way back to his feet. Rothwell are two more takedowns. The first is easily blocked, but Rothwell grabs a leg and goes to the second. Hunting is then thrown forward with great shots. Rothwell is on a takedown, but he brushes off game and takes the first position and the control side. Rothwell back up. Rothwell is bleeding from his face. Rothwell gets a takedown with 30 seconds left in the round. Hunt, 10-9.

Round 2. Throw a kicking game and some blocks of an attempt to shoot down Rothwell. Rothwell hunting down and throws some solid shots from the top. Mix in some elbows as well and works his way into side control. Hunting keeps hitting until finally Rothwell Rothwell is a step back it up. Chase stops and takes full mount. Hunt grabs the arm of Rothwell and seeks an armbar in round comes to an end. Rothwell is barely able to survive the round and defend the armbar. 08.10 Hunt. Rothwell had problems getting back to his corner at the end of the round.

Round 3. Game opens with big hits in Rothwell exhausted. Rothwell can barely stand and Hunt throws a spinning elbow. Chase down Rothwell, a curious decision considering how Rothwell is exhausted. The referee's back when there is no soil activity. Rothwell looking for a takedown, but it is easy to defend. Chase lands a nice uppercut. Rothwell is a brief but hunting Hunt works his way up again and grabs Rothwell. It highlights a backup and Hunt gets a huge blow to the jaw of Rothwell. Chase away like a knockout blow, but not lower Rothwell. Rothwell then hunt down. Rothwell is completely spent. Search is in side control, but the ref stands them. Commentator Joe Rogan slams referee's decision, given the dominant position. Rothwell puts his hands on his knees, but Hunt tried to overthrow. Rothwell knockdown blocks and the first position to close the round. 09.10 Hunting, 30-26 Hunt. That was not an impressive display of either. Denver's altitude played a major role in design of very large wrestlers.

Winner: Mark Hunt, by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-27, 30-27).

Matt Hughes vs Josh Koscheck

Hughes is one of the UFC's all-time best fighters, but at the end of his career. Their strength is their struggle and also has a set of solid form, but has always been a mediocre striker. I originally was going to fight, but Diego Sanchez Sanchez was injured and wanted to fight Koscheck intervinoKoscheck for years, but Hughes Hughes always resisted the fight because he did not like Koscheck and did not want to give him the opportunity. Now quickly took the fight. Koscheck is a young man wrestling credentials more striking and better. It is a difficult game for Hughes and Koscheck style is the big betting favorite.

Hughes comes to the cage with the old team Miletich Fighting Systems: Pat Miletich, Jeremy Horn and Robbie Lawler. That was one of the first training camps in MMA elite and one of the most important training camps in the evolution of the sport. Hughes has trained over Lawler in recent years and the group that comes together is clearly intended as a statement.

Round 1. Hughes throws a few jabs to begin the fight. Koscheck is mostly able to avoid, but Hughes is not a land quite well. Koscheck throws hooks Hughes moving back. Hughes gets a good left hook of his own and follows with another. Hughes throws a few jabs and a nice uppercut. Koscheck throws a few punches great power but not connected. Koscheck So land a big hook. Koscheck shoots for a takedown, but Hughes defended. Hughes continues to throw jabs, while Koscheck is idle. Hughes rocks Koscheck with a big book and uppercut. Koscheck opens with big power shots and continues with great shots and hammerfists on the ground that knock out Hughes at the close of the round. Hughes was too early, but Koscheck took over power.

Winner: Josh Koscheck, KO, round 1.

Hughes after the fight, said he is not retiring, but will tell the UFC, "put it on the shelf" at the moment. Hughes appeared in the version of break, but keep your emotions under control.

UFC Light Heavyweight Title: Jon Jones vs. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson

Jones comes from a wrestling background but has grown very rapidly on strike. One of his greatest strengths is its size and scope, keeping opponents off balance and allowing you to attack from unique angles and a unique way. Jackson was originally more of a wrestler based on time, but he is in love with boxing and boxing mainly used these days to win. Jackson also is characterized by an excellent chin. Jones has a huge lead 11 and a half inch of reach.

Round 1. Jackson stares right at Jones in the instructions, while Jones just looks down. Jones comes with a hand on the ground and then jumps forward in a melee. Jones throws some knees on the legs and body. Jones grabs the neck of Jackson and looking for a guillotine choke, but Jackson is out. Jones throws a big elbow close range. Jones throws a knock-down stop and search without success journey. They break from the clinch two minutes pulgJones throws a high kick that Jackson stands for. Jones and Jackson Rivets thrown out. Jackson throws a few punches loop pair to miss by a wide margin. Jones sheds some strong kicks, and mix in attempts to kick in the head as well. Jones strengthens again. Jackson throws a short uppercut and some of Jones lands a spinning back elbow. Jones misses a shot of the big wheel and the elbow. Jackson punch is thrown with large overhead in the closing round, but Jones moves quietly off the road. 10.9 Jones.

Round 2. Jones opens with a head kick and kick. Jackson later charged with beating and strengthen again. Jones lost a swivel elbow and looking for a takedown that is defended. Jones throws a couple of side kicks to the leg. Jones lands a nice straight shot to the head. Jackson lands a hook in the range close enough, but not forward. To strengthen again with Jones pulling his knees before a separation. Jones throws a few kicks and Baks away when Jackson moves in with punches. Jones is doing many things and just snap Jackson hit the same combinations over and over again. That does not mean that Jackson can not connect with a power stroke, but a guy is playing chess and the other is playing checkers. Jones gets a good few punches right back straight and secure. Jones pulls guard and looks for a triangle choke as the round ends. 10.9 Jones.

Round 3. Jackson throws a kick at the start of the round and Jones grabs the neck. Jackson out of trouble. Jackson gets a few kicks. Jones keeps changing his stance orthodox left-hander. Jones and Jackson shoots down. Jones quickly takes side control and throws a few elbows. Jones then mounts Jackson. Jones punches and elbow drops, with three minutes still in the assault. Jackson powers were back to their feet. Jackson cut. Jones throws a few kicks. Jackson throws a couple of power punches that miss. Jones gets a couple of jabs and a side kick to the knee. Jackson charges forward with great overhands and Jones moves quietly just off the road. Jones throws a flying knee, but blocks of Jackson. Jones gets a blow straight to Jackson moving back. Jones goes for a takedown in the final round. Signals the end of round and lifts Jackson Jones and then falls down. 10.9 Jones.

Round 4. Jones gets a few jabs and a hook. Jackson backs as if wounded and Jones throws a big hit in the head misses. I think Jackson was playing dead there. Jackson Jones has pulled down and a knee to the body. Jones goes back to Jackson and locks in a rear choke. Jackson taps out.

Jackson comes over and shakes hands with Jones after the fight to pay their respects.
