Michael Vick Injuries: Eagles QB suffers concussion against Falcons
Michael Vick gave Philadelphia a shot in the head in the third quarter of game Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons and was forced to leave the game. Not return to the Eagles went on to lose 35-31.

As Vick was being enveloped by the defender, his body twisted and his helmet head collided with teammate Todd Herremans. Vick got up slowly and gradually went to the sideline.

After the game, coach Andy Reid revealed that Vick suffered a concussion.

As Vick went to the locker room, NBC showed that he was spitting blood. However, Michele Tafoya reported that NBC was bleeding from biting his tongue.

Falcons fans, who saw the light of Vick opponents for six years as head of Atlanta, Vick booed when he left the field. Atlanta fans apparently also applauded when Vick was lying on the ground immediately after the play.

Reid does not discuss whether Vick will be ready for Week 3, or who his replacement would be.

But all signs point to backup quarterback Mike Kafka, who was 7-for-9 and threw for 72 yards. Vince Young was inactive for the Falcons game.

The Eagles play the New York Giants in Week 3.
